Scope:

Assessment of risks related to modernizing the telecommunications industry in Iran, following the anticipated removal of sanctions. Among the elements included in the analysis was a comprehensive survey of existing infrastructure, the limitations of existing legal and regulatory frameworks, as well as an uneven foreign investment code, and the potential dangers associated with being part of an initial wave of infrastructure investment.

Results:

The report included the findings of an interactive simulation conducted to explore the consequences of various approaches. The decision to invest was ultimately suspended due to threats of renewed sanctions.
