We are looking for a content marketing manager to join our remote marketing team.

About the Team & Your New Position:

Our team is pushing the status quo of what cybersecurity marketing looks like. We’re burning suits and breaking barriers between boardrooms and security. This position works closely with our Director of Marketing, Inbound Marketing Manager, social media strategist, copywriters, sales team, and practice leaders.

As our content marketing manager, we hope you’re as passionate about cybersecurity as you are about properly placed semi-colons. You will lead a team of copywriters to create compelling multi-media pieces that inspire our audience to take action. We focus on high-quality articles, podcasts, videos, reports, and case studies to drive our marketing efforts.

You will oversee our daily content operations, including maintaining the Editorial Calendar schedule, overseeing each phase of the content publishing process, editing written pieces to deliver to the website manager to publish, and working closely with the other members of the team to push content to our various channels. Your position will call on you to be one part content strategist, one part writer and editor, and one part project manager.


What Types of Content Will You Oversee?

We pen articles, research and vulnerability disclosures, eBooks, security reports, case studies, and other writing projects that help support our marketing and sales initiatives. Our team also releases long-form videos, short-form videos, and podcasts frequently. We publish new content weekly.


As Our Content Marketing Manager, You Will:

  • Work collaboratively with our Director, inbound manager, copywriters, social media coordinator, product development teams, clients, and practice leaders to provide compelling content that meets the audience’s need and translates into measurable impact on organizational goals and aligns with our overall marketing strategy
  • Manage all content development and deployment across VerSprite’s channels to engage, attract and convert readers
  • Gain a deeper understanding of our products, services, and advanced security concepts and be able to translate them into easily understandable copy for specific audiences
  • Collaborate with marketing management, security consultants and practice leaders to develop content with maximum SEO value and shareability
  • Regularly and consistently use digital analytics to inform and enhance content planning and prioritization, and know how and when to refresh and repurpose existing content to meet an audience or department need
  • Be purposeful in creating highly sharable content
  • Understand standard SEO strategies and tactics
  • Leverage content for different audiences and verticals
  • Understand how multi-media contributes to a piece
  • Manage multiple projects and deadlines at once
  • Ensure all content maintains our brand voice and standards
  • Stay up to date on the latest security threats and protection methods to create more impactful content
  • Oversee our team of copywriters and freelance copywriters
  • Be willing to stretch your own writing juices by assigning stories and/or projects to yourself regularly


Content Marketing Manager Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of cybersecurity, technology, or related content marketing experience
  • 1+ years of marketing management and strategy experience, preference given to content marketing management experience
  • Advanced writing and grammar skills
  • Are comfortable writing, editing, and strategizing for a variety of written mediums including articles, emails, reports, and/or social media
  • Willing to accept coaching, edits, and feedback from our team or clients
  • Are organized and can manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines
  • Proficient in English (written and spoken), optional written proficiency in Spanish and/or French
  • Experience using relevant software, including Adobe C-Suite (PhotoShop and InDesign), ClickUp, Asana, HubSpot CRM, Microsoft Office Apps, Google Analytics and Search Console, Canva, and WordPress CMS


This is a 100% remote position open to any region. Preference given to individuals who can work within the hours of 8 am EST – 5 pm EST/PST.

This position works closely with our Inbound Marketing Manager, Director of Marketing, and teammates to develop, execute, and monitor our channel strategies and various campaigns. Candidates should have experience maintaining multiple platforms, including LinkedIn, Twitter, and YouTube.

  • Gain a deeper understanding of our products, services, and advanced security concepts and be able to translate them into easily understandable copy for specific audiences
  • Have the opportunity to work on self-driven pieces of content and team writing initiatives
  • Meet with clients to discuss how they use security engagements and services to identify, push, and ultimately secure gaps in their organization

As a Social Media Specialist, you will:

  • Develop social media content calendars across all our social channels
  • Use HubSpot to draft and schedule posts to social media channels, maintaining brand voice and messaging as appropriate for each channel
  • Work closely with the marketing managers and Director to develop social media campaigns aligned to marketing goals
  • Nurture and encourage engagement with our communities on social media
  • Create graphics and visual content is optimized for each channel using primarily Adobe Photoshop, Canva optional
  • Work with the team to create and execute social media plans for event coverage, and other business initiatives
  • Understand crucial social metrics and provide insights to the team
  • Compile weekly and monthly reports for social channels
  • Measure, report, and analyze the performance of campaigns across channels
  • Monitor social media feeds and find opportunities to grow audiences
  • Collaborate with other departments to manage brand reputation, identify key influencers, and coordinate messaging
  • Stay up to date on industry trends and all applicable technologies, including developments in social media, analytics, online marketing, and online consumer behavior


Requirements:

  • 2+ years of B2B social media management experience, driving engagement on LinkedIn and Twitter
  • Experience attracting and engaging an audience of C-level business professionals, executives, and department managers
  • Strong and effective social media copywriting skills
  • Familiarity with social media monitoring and reporting tools
  • Experience executing and reporting on social media campaigns
  • Good understanding of social media critical metrics
  • Great interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines
  • Efficient and flexible in a changing environment
  • Willingness to cross-train and be coached in other aspects of marketing
  • Must be able to work Monday through Friday during business hours in the EST or PST time zones
